Description

A Partnership for Change (APFC), a New Jersey-based non-profit organization dedicated to ending family and intimate partner abuse, announces dates for its IPVA (Intimate Partner Violence Advocate) Certification Series.

**Professional credits for nurses, social workers and LPC's are available.

One in four women and one in three teenage girls are victims of intimate partner abuse; therefore, it is likely that you know someone who is affected.  If your client, student, patient, co-worker, or employee is a victim:

  • Do you know how to safely and effectively respond?
  • Are you aware of the risks associated with leaving?
  • Do you know how to develop a safety plan?
  • Do you know about the resources for referral and support?

IPVA is a 5-part workshop series that will provide answers to these questions and more.  You can register for the series, or you can take classes individually.

Since 2009, 200+ professionals have participated in the series and enhanced their intervention skills; 100% reported on confidential evaluations that they'd recommend the classes to colleagues.

Registration is Required:
